Novec Fire Suppression System
Our Novec Fire Suppression System is a non-toxic fire extinguishing chemical developed as a replacement for halon and hydrofluorocarbons. It comprises Novec1230 fluid, which has the highest margin of safety for human occupation of any clean agent, including inert gas. The fluid has a global warming potential of one, which is 99.9 percent lower than any other halocarbon agent and poses no threat to the ozone layer.
SVDS Novec fluid prevents fires from the beginning by instantaneously removing all heat. The fluid is kept as a liquid in cylinders and compressed with nitrogen in a standard complete flooding system. When the fire is in its beginning stage, the automatic detecting sensors release the fluid, which quickly extinguishes it.
